The concrete jungle is left behind , along with the rigors of making a living, the stress of deadlines and schedules, carpooling, ballet/soccer lessons....in exchange, peace, privacy, tranquillity, sunsets to rave about, fun in the water, great food, fond memories...are expected.
The lake was first known as Kashquashibook. In the late 1850's it started to be referred to as Drag Lake, most probably because logs were dragged over the shallow area between what we now call Harris Beach and Sand Point
